Hold the front page, prepare a fanfare and ticker tape parade...Real Steel knives and Heinnie Haynes® join forces!

The outcome of such a collaboration was only ever going to result in knives that dreams are made of! And so it is, behold the Barlow. It's a classic knife form dating back centuries and is still a massive favourite particularly considering its status as UK legal carry due to it's non-locking blade under 7.6cm long.

These beautiful folders (this version has a clip point blade) use N690 stainless steel combine with an extremely tactile Titanium handle with a lanyard bar incorporated into the end of the back spine. The blade has a three quarter stop when going into the open and closed position to prevent closing on the fingers. The blade also features the Heinnie® 'H' and its very own serial number (sorry we can't choose a specific number for individual customers).

Each knife is supplied with a white box featuring the Heinnie® 'H' and a Certificate of Authenticity.

A solid knife for the budget

Posted by Magnus on 13th Jun 2023

I will make a video review once I have had more experience with the knife. From my experience so far, it it a well thought out and nicely assembled knife. The clip point is beautiful and the knife is very tactile overall but more importantly does its job well. It came sharp, but not razor sharp - nothing a little strop couldn't fix. The titanium has aged well in the two weeks I have had it, and for the money is a very solid knife that is ideal for EDC in the UK - particularly for the discerning gentleman who wants something a little more modern than many mid-range budget barlows. In all, I'd give it a 9.5 / 10 for its quality to price comparison. There was one or two visual defects, but they're so incredibly minor that they're unnoticeable in regular use and will be invisible once it has some wear and tear. Buy this knife if you are considering it for an EDC knife, or something to spice up your traditional style with some modern minimalist class.

    Nice, usable, modern barlow

Posted by Darren Tipper on 9th Sep 2022

This is a nicely finished knife that comes good and sharp. The titanium scales feel very nice in the hand, and it is surprisingly grippy for a plain metal handle. I've used this on a hot day, with sweaty hands and it holds just fine. This is a good priced knife, that allows me to carry a 'nice' knife, without feeling bad for using it hard when I need to - and I know the tried and tested N690 is going to be nice and easy to sharpen. I've put the handy lanyard bar to good use. I am glad Heinnie offer this in a clip point option. It's a good user EDC blade, that's also just a nice piece to own.
