Traditional and popular pocket knife with striking brass rosettes in the handle. The scales of selected bubinga wood handle scales harmonise perfectly with the three polished brass rivets and give the knife an elegant air. The classic medium pointed shaped blade is made of non-stainless C75 carbon steel, has a finely polished surface finish and folds smoothly between the steel bolsters made in the popular double hollow ground bolster.

    Spot on.

My example is about as good as you could expect. Blade is perfectly central when closed, good strong backspring, fit and finish of the scales is perfect. A really nice classic pocketknife.

    Disappointing

Posted by Garry on 25th Oct 2018

When the blade is folded you can move the blade 2 mm either side of centre. When open the blade is firm and the back spring is strong giving a reassuring snap open. I must have got one that bypassed Quality Control, so much for German efficiency. Very disappointed as I really like the look and feel of the knife and reminds me of Sheffield knives of yesteryear,.

    Slightly overbuilt Gentleman's classic

Posted by Mike on 29th Jan 2018

I bought this knife for my dad in January 2014 and he still has it. It since caught nice patina being carbon steel. The back-spring is a bit on stiff side but that's a good feature - hard to open by little hands of unwanted user - small kids:) It was real barging for £25.95. Since the Brexit everything seemed to go up quite a bit, not only Spydercos, did seriously none think about this is going to happen?..

Really like the knife , awesome quality , fit and finish for £40 .. just a shame some brands like spyderco have gone up in price ridiculously since brexit... awesome service from Hiennie as always

    Robust working knife

Posted by Mr T on 29th Aug 2015

Had looked at this knife many times before getting one. Very pleased with it. Strong well made and comfortable in the hand. This will get some use. HH very quick and dependable as usual. Well worth the money.

well made, bigger than you think!

Posted by Andrew Rogers on 15th Oct 2013

When I purchased this knife I was worried with the length of the blade (thinking it would be a thin pocket knife) it might be too weak for hard use...not at all, this is made for use in the field, the blade is as large as the Victorinox Rucksack main blade and the handle is slightly smaller than the Rucksack handle which has three layers! Blade snaps shut nicely, fit/finish good too, good purchase.
