      my kitchen knives new friend

Posted by Ivan on 21st Mar 2019

I use the edge of the stone to sharpening my kitchen knives . Because of the shape of the stone this seems to be the easiest task ever. This stone bring the blades just one idea before they start shaving. Obviously we talking about the basic stainless kitchen knives like Fiskars, no super still blades and so on.
      Great service from HH!

      Lombardia sharpening stone

Posted by Gef on 21st Feb 2017

In the illustration the stone looks like it has two flat surfaces. When I came to open the box only one side had been machined, the other was quite rough. This didn't prove to be a problem as I used the rough side to sharpen a tough old machete blade and the rough side soon started to wear. I'm confident that with more use the stone will have two flat, smooth faces. The Specification states that this is a coarse oilstone; this stone is just as fine grained as its smaller counterpart marketed by Opinel. It is of course a water stone as indicated in the Description. With these caveats I find it to be a good and useful tool. And as usual, prompt delivery from HH.
