The Moki "Rabbit" knife has a traditional Japanese Higonokami + modern Framelock. The blade is made of 2" solid VG-10 flat grind and satin finished stainless steeel with notched thumb opening lever that opens the blade easily and firmly locks with frame locking stystem. 3-3/8" Black Linen Micarta handle in polished shiny finish with Nickel silver "MOKI" shield, supplied with brown embossed sheath.

Would make a perfect peasant knife!

In fact, I have contacted Moki directly to suggest they do make a non-locking version of this knife. The ergonomics of the handle are perfectly suited to being a peasant knife, with either the thumb or base of the thumb able to press down on the blade lever. Aside from the above suggestion, the fit and finish, as always from Moki, is pretty much perfect. It is no accident that Al Mar use Moki to make their knives, or that William Henry used them to make their 'factory models' a few years back. If you are thinking about getting this, make the leap. You won't be disappointed. My only dislike is the pocket pouch that came with the knife. The stud isn't taped on the inside, so might mark the knife when being used. Interesting design and concept, but people buying a beautiful pocket knife would expect the pouch to protect the knife, not potentially mark it.
