With a blade length of 5.2 cm, the Boker Plus Mini Tech Tool 2 is much more versatile, practical and effective than many other keychain knives. However, it is still small enough to be added to a keychain without any problems. At this length, it fits the definition of a "UK Friendly Carry" pocket penknife.

The Tech Tool Mini has all the premium features of its big brother: A polished, hollow-ground blade made from Sandvik 12C27, contoured black G10 handle scales and a screwed handle. A fixed loop and key ring are part of the standard equipment of the Tech Tool Mini. It also has a pair of scissors.

    Excellent little knife

Posted by Simon on 28th Dec 2020

I bought the zebrawood scaled version because it was on clearance for just 16 quid, but they seem to have sold out for good so I'll review it here as it's identical to this except for the scales. Had my eye on Bokerplus products for a while now, they get rave reviews on yt channels and sites like this. These reviews are justified, despite not being made in Germany these are very well made, very strong backsprings, no play in blade/tool, and the blade is sharp out of the box. Blade is a lot more substantial and capable than a Vic 58mm and thicker even than the main blade on a 91mm SAK, it's more or less the same thickness as a 93mm alox SAK blade. Scissors are in between Vic 58 and 81mm scissors in size and have a strong spring, similar too but stronger than the one on Leatherman Squirt scissors. Won't snip thru paracord in one go though so on a par with small Vic/LM scissors. Also both scissor blades move inwards when squeezed rather than one remaining static so it takes a bit of getting used to and you might miss nose hairs if using them for trimming them. Despite this it's a very good EDC either in a coin pocket as a secondary blade or on a keychain, in fact if I had the one with the 3 tools I'd say that for most people that would be more than adequate as a standalone EDC, however I prefer to carry a larger blade too, at the moment either Vic Hiker or Farmer, but the quality of this little knife has given me confidence and the wish to buy more Bokerplus knives. My black scaled Atlas should arrive tomorrow morning, looking forward to getting it.

Cracking Key Chain or Pouch knife

Posted by Kev on 19th Mar 2020

Bought minea few months ago,I like Boker knives as they are solid reliable tools. Sharp enough out of the box but I have put a shaving sharp edge on the blade. The scissors are great for the size, all you have to get used to is the way both halves move together when used. All other knife based scissors I have used only the one half moves. A great buy to keep on you key ring or key pouch, EDC pouch zip etc.

    A keychain companion

Posted by Mike on 25th May 2019

I ordered this Boker plus 2 mini keychain knife on a whim ! That was because I have had Boker plus knives from HH in the past on clearance sale ! They were G10 in green and full size ! I guess I forgot to read that this one was a boker mini ? Any way it was a supprise when it turned up ! This one has a blade and a pair of scissors ,that's it . The quality is very good ,and it feels that way in the hand ! It's a good edc keychain tool but too small really for a pocket knife on its own I think . I really would like this model in the full size Boker line up as the blade and scissors are great in shape and design! I believe these are all made in Germany ,Solingen I give it four stars as it's a bit smaller than I would really like but I'm already finding it comes in handy , when opening mail and I've cut a loose thread with the scissors Both sharp out of the box too ! So again a handy bit of kit , a little pricey though.
