    A generous 4 stars .

Posted by Huggybear on 9th May 2017

Not sure if i should give this knife 3 or 4 stars , i cannot find anything wrong with the knife except it doesn,t impress me as much as some of the Rough Rider knives i have bought recently . The blades feel flimsy compared with others and the bone scale on mine (the one with the Marbles logo on ) looks plastic y .Another very minor point is that the Marble logo on the main blade is not as show on the illustration ie under the blade niche it is closer to the the main body and it doesn,t look as good . My main reservation about the knife having now handled it is the price .. i have paid much less for other knives especially the Rough Rider Coal Miner and i think they are better knives and i was very happy with them . As i say i cannot find anything specific to fault it with ,and i,m sure it will do what its supposed to do , but i have recently bought the Marbles Pocket Chopper 100 year anniversary Game Getter it cost less is much bigger and i think much better quality .

    Bigger than I expected

Posted by Rachael on 10th Mar 2017

its a very nice knife but bigger than expected as the main blade is 6.5cm and not 5.2cm that is the measurement of the small clip blade but not a bad thing as the quality of the knife is good and I found that it was sharp enough out of the box , I originally bought this to put in my collection but after receiving this knife I will be putting this in my EDC rotation

    Very nice knife

Posted by Dave on 21st May 2013

Having bought a few of the Rough Riders I decided to try a Marbles so of course it's difficult not to compare the two Brands. This Sowbelly is nice. Fit and finish are great. Blades not as sharp as RR out the box but sharpened easily. The back springs are good, not too tight, just right I'd say. This pattern doesn't have half stops. The blade shapes are pretty funky...sort of Persian. I like them. The bone scales look great. I was a little concerned as they look kinda plastic in the photos but they don't in the hand. All in all I like the knife. If it holds up to some work as well as a Rough Rider I'll be happy.

    NIce Knife

Well made knife, a little stiff and not entirely sharp out of the box, but nothing a few minutes honing couldn't sort out. Nice solid knife and UK legal, and quick delivery from HH as well :)

    Well worth the price

Pleasantly surprised with this one. Nicely packaged, good fit and finish, and a nice size. Legal for UK EDC too, which is a bonus. Only downside is that its made in China, but then, thats probably why its so affordable.

    Classic outdoors pocket knife

Posted by David on 9th Mar 2008

Well-made, solid and weighty, yet compact. Incidentally, a spay / spey blade was originally used to castrate cattle...make sure it's closed before you pop the knife back into your pocket! Arrived at my door within 48-hours of my online order. The only reason the knife does not get five stars is because it is made in China! (A proud American company like Marbles should be ashamed of itself). Still, a good purchase of a nice little knife.
