    Too small to be useful

Posted by Simon on 22nd Mar 2020

There are some Boker Magnum knives I'm very fond of, especially the wood handled Fat Jack, but this isn't one of them. Check the dimensions before ordering - this knife is absolutely tiny. Arrowhead is about right! It's sharp enough, but really, if you're going to carry a neck knife, you want something at least twice the length of this. If you want to wrap the handle, you're going to need something a lot thinner than normal paracord - I used 2mm diameter microcord. And it rattles around in the sheath really badly. I regret buying this one.

    Quality and Practical

Posted by Rhys on 29th Jun 2017

Quality little tool, sheath fits perfect so I wear it as a neck knife when need be, the finish is also nice and very light overall.
The blade could be sharper but not planning on going mammoth hunting quiet yet lol.

    great little knife

Posted by Knotty on 20th Sep 2016

Well chuffed with this little neck knife. its almost like having functional jewellery. I own a few Boker knives and now I'm impressed with the Magnum range. definitely worth adding them to the collection. will be purchasing them from HH due to unbelievable service and delivery times. South Wales to Grantham Lincolnshire in 20 hours.

    it's in the name

Posted by Col on 22nd Dec 2015

This is a nice "little" neck knife and get's it's name from it's shape . This knife is so small you could wear it all the time ( at your own discretion ) and no one would ever know , and your li'l friend would be there for those li'l job's . Love it & the service from Heinnie Haynes , merry christmas to all thier staff : D

    Good value

Posted by Mick on 4th Jan 2015

This is great value little neck knife. It comes in a no-frills box and is supplied with a very functional polyurethane sheath with a ball chain.

Out of the box it has virtually no edge and needs some work to make it useable. I touched mine up with the Lansky Blade Medic and it's now sharp, not hair poppingly sharp but more than sharp enough for most tasks.

The knife itself can be modified slightly wrapping with paracord which improves grip a fair bit.

For the money this knife is a worthy addition to my EDC. Hang it round your neck and forget about it, but it comes in handy for those moments when you're away from your main knife. Just don't take it on an *******!

    a bit of work needed...

Posted by Jack on 9th Nov 2013

My initial thoughts were an interesting little blade then I noticed that the grind on the blade wasn't even or sharp. I like the finish over the rest of the knife but the finish on the blade itself looked rushed and not a lot of care was put into the finish of it. I was also disappointed with the sheath. The knife didn't fall out too easily, unless you shook hard, but it rattled around something chronic! I didn't trust the sheath enough as it was and as the blade can be used for spear fishing I made a wrapped paracord handle and lanyard. The handle pushes against the sheath now and locks the knife in nice and tight. A blast on the whetstone and strop put a nice new polished cutting edge on the blade. I have to say I now have a brilliant, discreet little edc blade. It fits much better in my hand now with the lanyard and is easy to maintain, once you've achieved a good edge yourself!

If you are happy to put a new edge on a blade then this is a good little package with promise.
