Great light but check around.

Didn't buy mine from HH ( although i have bought a bunch of stuff in the past) HH have this one listed brightness as 84 lumens, but if you check around the internet you can get a brighter mini magllite aaa that is 111 lumens, same size and quality etc

Excellent little torch, very bright, compact and well made. I have a couple of these led mag lights in different sizes and they are both excellent. Torches that last a lifetime.

Better than you might think

Most folks will be familiar with Maglite's products and so this 2xAAA LED won't throw anyone any massive surprises. What might surprise some people is the pleasant tint this LED has: a nice clear white with none of the blue tones I associate with older LED Maglites. While I have no way of measuring the Lumen output I can say it certainly seems Maglite's claimed 84 Lumen is entirely plausible. Only real issues I have are that the beam profile is still very ragged and full of inclusions. This isn't a massive problem IMO as these things rarely show in real world use. Slightly more of a problem is that the focus could be better, it's idea of 'spill' is still quite tight IMO. All said and done though I've had this light quite a while now and, despite owning many other higher prices lights, this has seen quite a lot of use.
