    Lionsteel M5 Knife

Posted by Blair on 1st Apr 2021

Beautifully made. The best gift I've ever bought myself. This had great reviews and it met all my expectations on arrival. Looking forward to putting it through the paces camping and bushcraft this summer 2021!

    It's A Briliant Knife

Posted by If it's not industrial it's broken on 8th Apr 2019

My M5 is a Wanut boulster finish but besides that it is just a fantastic knife, competing with blades 3, 4, 5 times what this cost. As with anything you can find niggly faults, not a fan of the curved spine, I like it a sharp square back to strike and hammer but thats minor stuff. The quality of the blade is outstanding as are the finish on the wood and leather. A fantastic knife.

    Beautifully Built, Perfectly Practical

Posted by Andrew on 10th May 2016

When I was in the market for a new mid-sized fixed-blade knife, I did some research, and kept hearing good things about the Lion Steel M series, so I took a chance on the M5. To say that I was not disappointed is putting it mildly. From design to execution the knife just oozes quality. Beautifully sharp and perfectly balanced, the blade is a perfect sizefor a general outdoor use knife, and surprisingly light to boot. Some knives you know you're using a large hunk of steel, but this never feels unwieldy. This has instantly become my go-to for general outdoor work and camping use. This is the knife you need. A brilliant instant classic from Lion Steel.

    Beautiful M5

Posted by SteelHeadSteve on 17th May 2015

There are two reasons why I really, really like the M5. First It is made by Lion Steel, and when they make a fixed blade, they radius all the edges. Far more so than, lets say Viper. So there is only one sharp edge, and that's the bevel. The second reason is because it is designed by Molletta, and man he's done a great job. I really like his style. My M5 arrived in a cordura scabbard. It has a hard insert, and a MOLLE back. So you can have a 2" belt loop, or a 4" belt loop, or even a 6" belt loop, if you wanted. It has a reinforced retaining strap, with a quality snap. The knife is mid-sized and very well thought out. It is a very tidy design. The G10 handle scales are beautifully sculptured, and offer "my hand" a perfect fit. Finally, the balance point is just behind the first scale bolt, and that suits me down to the ground. I do not like fixed-blades with neutral balance, I always prefer handle heavy.
