The Brandywine offers traditional style—but with a Kershaw update.

The Kershaw Brandywine is a classic, three-bladed, slipjoint pocketknife. It features clip point, spey, and Wharncliffe blades in 7CR17MoV stainless steel. Added vanadium in the formula increases strength, wear resistance, and toughness, giving you a blade with a long-lasting edge. For a contemporary look, the handle scales are black G10, shaped and polished to bring out the luster and weave of the material. Kershaw included brass liners and brass rivets for an additional touch of class.

  • An update on a classic slipjoint style; includes clip point, spey, and Wharncliffe blades
  • 7Cr17MoV stainless steel blades offer good edge retention, toughness, and wear resistance; satin polished for a traditional look
  • Opens manually with nail nick

Very happy with this knife and did not realise how much I would appreciate a stockman style pocket knife until I started using it. Great quality for the price.

    This is a keeper!

First, outstanding service from HH! This is a beautiful, elegant EDC pocket knife! It is slim and compact, but has a good weighty feel in the hand. The fit and finish is excellent. No marks; misaligned scales or liners, and the blades nest perfectly when closed. This knife would be equally at home in the pocket of an Evening Suit as it is your jeans! I read some earlier comments about weak back springs. No such problem with this one. Certainly too nice to use as a hard use work tool. Very impressed and would recommend this knife unreservedly.

Great service as always from HH. This is a very good knife for the price. Sharp blades and a good finish. Buy one you won’t be sorry.

    Kershaw Brandywine

A really well constructed EDC pocket knife. Fits the hand easily. The spring tensions are fine for me. Mine had a couple of rub marks and rough edges which could only have been caused prior to it being packaged at the manufacturers (both of which will polish out during use I am sure) Also the Spey blade bottoms out when in the folded position causing a slight dull spot on the blade which is rather disappointing. Overall a good EDC knife , but just a little more attention to detail is required by the manufacturer prior to dispatch.

    Great Traditional Pocket Knife.

Posted by Jason C on 1st Dec 2020

Excellent knife with a good, solid, reassuring feel about it. I agree with others inasmuch as the tension on the back springs isn’t anything to write home about, but they do the job well enough for me. Really nice shape to the handle which works perfectly with the blade shapes in my opinion. The brass liners and springs all together have a great fit and finish on mine, and the black micarta looks great (even to someone who’s generally micarta averse). 5 stars. Great pocket knife at a good price. Tempted to buy one for myself as this one’s now destined to be a Christmas present.

Lovely, sort of fab for the money but mediocre strength springs

Posted by RoyfromBungay on 17th Sep 2020

I wanted a decent American trapper type penknife that i could whittle with and originally planned to get the Case Half-Whittler but that was 'unstocked'. I have a Kershaw Pry Tool 2 that is well-made with a gorgeous finish (but didn't open cans) so this penknife attracted my interest. It's actualy NOT made in the US but designed there. The steel very good; liners are really swish; the general finish was refined except some marking/abrasion on the back which i removed from obvious sight by some stropping on an Enzo paddle strop. Unfortunately the springs are not too strong and are in fact weaker than my Victorinox SwissChamp and maybe even a bit dangerous. Therefore it's not going to be in my trouser pocket but i've relegated to my leather jacket as it does look the part. Good for the money but i'll continue my quest for a top yankee penknife.

Solid knife. Beautifully made, solid build and came razor sharp out of the box. Highly recommended.
