The Potbelly® is a hard working
knife that no camper or adventure
trekker should be without. It has
a 7-1/8" long, 0.25" thick, 1095
Cro-Van blade that is hollow
ground to a razor edge with a deep
belly and weight forward balance
that rivals hatchets in terms of
chopping power. With some
influence from the kukri and
machete, the Potbelly® is best
described as what you get if you
crossed a scalpel and a
sledgehammer. The Potbelly® is a
controllable big knife. Its multi-
position handle is textured with
the proprietary Adventuregrip™ so
you can easily control it for
tasks as delicate as field
dressing if necessary. If you only
have room for one knife in your
pack and need one that will do it
all, the Potbelly® is your knife.

    Marmite

This might sting a bit. Out the box blunt. As a knife collector the bluntest knife I’ve ever had arrive including far cheaper blades. I know it’s a chopper but I’ve had sharper spoons. Does it chop? Yes it does, is it great at chopping not really no.. used it lightly in my opinion to chop some branches and shape the ends into points for making a hide. Took a lot more effort than expected. Reminded me of hammering in 6 inch nails with a cobblers hammer. Had to sharpen the blade after first use and what a pain it was to sharpen using Spyderco gear. I don’t think the handle is comfortable and does slip in hand. Knife is useless for any type of undergrowth clearance. Funny enough the sheath is excellent. I would send it back if I could to be honest. Shame as I had high hopes for this blade and for the price expected something decent. Stick to brand you know and have confidence in.

Ordered one these it came but the grind was slightly off but HH swapped it over straight away, I can't say enough good things about HH service it's just fast and amazing, great job guys. The Potbelly is a great knife to rival my BK7 and beats it at chopping.. the handle fits me perfect I have medium sized hands...very sharp out the box and the sheath is good with a huge pocket on the front which contained some paracord and there is a little piggyback knife which also came in the box is a good little knife.... If you want a solid workhorse then this is for you.

    KA BAR POTBELLY

Superb chopper for splitting firewood, camp building, and food prep. Very sharp and easy to keep so. Great sheath that allows additional storage too. The little 'piggyback' knife is very handy for food/game prep. GET ONE !! Usual fantastic service from Heinnie as ever.
