The Imalent LD70 is an extraordinary light. Not only can you watch the light and feel the heat grow as you cycle through output levels but you can watch what this mini badboy is pumping out by keeping one eye on the OLED screen.

There is something about the design, too, that says "I'm indestructible". The aircraft grade type III anodised aluminium body houses a second generation CREE XHP 70 LED and a 18350 rechargeable battery. Charging is simplicity itself via a USB magnetic cradle. It'll charge fully in just an hour and a half.

  • Uses one CREE XHP 70 second generation LED, with a service life of up to 50,000 hours, and maximum output up to 4,000 lumens
  • Built-in multi-function OLED display, can display various parameters and settings
  • USB magnetic charging function, easy to get power.
  • Efficient constant current circuit will maintain constant brightness
  • Built-in thermal control module will automatically adjust the brightness output, maintain comfortable use.
  • Combination of toughened ultra-transparent minerals and anti-reflective coatings glass
  • Aluminum OP reflector
  • Aerospace-grade aluminum alloy body, wear-resistant type III hard anodizing surface treatment.
  • IPX-8 standard waterproof (2 meters underwater)
  • Impact resistance (1.5 meters)

Nice little torch. Bit too big for a key chain but doable I suppose. Fits nicely in my fist. The controls take a minute, 4 clicks to lock, 2 clicks for full power but easy to remember. I like the display too. Thought it might be a bit of a gimmick but it's actually useful. Recommended.

This is a brilliant little light, it is easy to operate, well made, in fact beautifully made. It is very powerful and it can be be locked with four rapid presses and unlocked the same way. The switch is not "sticky", it's just not a "clicky" type switch. The light comes at the same power level as when it was switched off. Holding the switch or power button, cycles through the levels. I cannot understand the negative comments from one reviewer here. Of course the Led is small, it's a small light. I have a Nitecore TUP which I find very fiddly to operate. I would recommend this light over the TUP any day.. The only reason I have both is because I bought the TUP first.

    Power isn't everything

Posted by John on 1st Aug 2020

I received this as a present from my wife. It arrived very late (almost unheard of in my experience with HH) and i was initially excited. But.... Sure it's powerful as I eventually discovered. But the user interface is awful. The button sticks and is pedantic in operation. The display is so small as to be nearly (but not quite) pointless. In summation, yes it's powerful and pretty but hard to use and not cheap. In car terms it's a Morgan 3 wheeler: exiting, unusual, expensive and certainly not the everyday transport i hoped it would be. For.a quarter of the price i bought two usb chargeable torches on amazon. They zoom, they have a pocket clip and a separate right angled light panel. No they are not as nice looking being both bigger and clumqsier and not as bright. But the button is easy to use and did I mention there were two of them? Sure: a pair of dull hatchbacks but far more practical.

    Awesome.

I’ll keep this short and just say that it’s a cracking little torch with huge power, it does get warm when running full but dials itself back when needed, also the battery will last if you use the lower settings, 4000 is impressive but rarely needed personally. I can’t think of any negatives honestly, will be getting another when back in stock. Fast delivery, I’ll be back 100% I feel the need to mention you CAN lock and unlock the power switch by clicking 4 times in a row, a little padlock will show on the screen. No need for trouser fires mentioned in the other review haha (hope you’re okay mate!)

    Great & YET

Posted by Foxxy on 29th Jun 2020

As already written here the good things are true, so for me, the down side (shame really) it needs urgent work. The power button & the Heat are issues. With no way to isolate the button, carried in any pocket or bag the light is SO easily turned on. The button too sensitive .Usually at a hi lumen level . I have already burned a hole in a pocket from the lens getting so hot. I smelt the scorching before I felt the actual heat realizing what it was. Then lens is now slightly marked. But it still works. Select bright light it gets to hot to handle very quickly. Battery charge goes down quickly. So keep for use about home. Do not store where likely to be turned on. Potentially a great little light to have ready to use, but not ready yet in my honest opinion.

    Incredible!

Posted by EDWARDSA on 19th Jun 2020

What a little diamond this is! The build quality is incredible, feels very sturdy and rugged in hand, its plenty big enough to be held comfortably, however is small enough to be thrown in a pocket or kit bag and not take up all the space. Output is superb, the 4000lm mode is a stormer and the led screen makes identification of light levels dead easy. Magnetic charger is a huge plus, this little torch can compete with other big names out there! A complete steal at 50 quid too!
