Imalent are doing extraordinary things with LEDs at the moment. The MS18 with an output of 100,000 lumens proved that their mastery of the technology was pretty much unparalelled.

In comparison the Imalent LD10, in relative terms, is just as mind blowing. Despite its size it has a piercing beam of 1,200 lumens. It also has a three other levels of power and a 1,200 lumen strobe all operated via one button. There is also a magnetic charging connector and an OLED display so you know what battery life you have left and how many lumens you're packing.

All this power and all those features come at a price though....thankfully it's a very low one! Check it out!

    1 out of 3 worked

Wasted time & money, 3rd time was the charm - once functional it’s good. But with hindsight, I’d buy from a different manufacturer.

    Avoid

Posted by Arc on 6th Sep 2020

Mine only charged once then never again. Could have been a good torch with a USBc and a better button. Now just a drawer filler. [HH say - sorry to hear that - have you contacted us regarding a return?]

OK, but not without its faults

Posted by Dangruff on 26th Aug 2020

Others have commented on the problems of finding the flush switch especially in the dark. My main gripe however is the charging cable. It is unique to this torch; so don't lose it as I did . This involved a long though friendly email correspondence with Imalent in the USA. I was able to send them 10USD for a new one, but this is just another cable to carry, why not have the ubiquitous USB 'C' and a rubber bung to maintain the watertightness? Performance wise it is good and it holds its charge well.

Small, light yet powerful and useful

Posted by Woodhead on 20th Jul 2020

I’m blown away by just how good this torch is yet it’s so cheap. It came part charged and ready to go, it took less than a full hour to charge (probably because it already had charge in, but still not bad) and is still going strong 24 hours later. I don’t think the beam reaches as far as the details suggest I think it reaches further which is amazing, for my needs 10 lumens is more than enough but the 150 up to 800 lumens is just outstanding. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a high end torch at a low end cost. My only gripe is the charger, it’s magnetic, great but easily slips and slides off the ports with the slightest of nocks, however with a little patients it’s fine. Defuser works a treat and is a lovely little extra. If you are considering getting one, don’t, just buy it. Awesome it’s small and light yet super powerful.

    Imalent LD10 torch.

Posted by Neil on 18th Jun 2020

I am well impressed with my new torch. It is only the length of my forefinger, so is an ideal pocket torch. That said, it's more powerful than most if not all, of my other torches. As everyone else commented, the flush fitting tail button, isn't the easiest I've ever used but once on, it is amazing! I've not needed 1200 lumens yet but it's good to know it's available if required. The strobe is blinding and hoping I'll never need it in a hostile situation, but am confident that it would give me the edge if used. The diffuser gives off lots of light, but I don't know how long it could be used with the heat from the lamp. I am really impressed, and it came before I expected it! Would highly recommend it.

Excellent value for money, but the fiddley charger lets it down

Posted by Mike on 28th May 2020

The torch is a little wonder. But whoever designed the charger needs to go back to design school. The magnetic attachment is supposed to make it easy however it's very fiddly to get it to snap to the right place and very susceptible to any movement dislodging it. I'd had mine on charge for about an hour before I realised the attachment had moved and the torch was very hot, displaying the overheat warning. It took a long time to cool down - no idea if I damaged the battery at all. So be careful with it. A standard USB socket would've been better. Don't expect to be able to charge it in your car unless you have amazingly smooth suspension.

Don’t get me wrong for £30 it’s a good torch BUT as mentioned the tail switch is difficult to locate and the charger is a bit fiddly needs to be in the exact position and not disturbed or it stops charging. Other than that there’s nothing else to say 1200 lumen for £30 just buy it
