The Fox Livri is a UK legal carry pocket knife of serious quality. The blade is M390 stainless steel and will arrive to you extremely sharp out of the box. It is also a hard steel with a Rockwell hardness of 59-60. It's a blade that will take a lot of use before sharpening needs to be considered.

This version, the Fox Livri Green Micarta has a canvas micarta handle one of the most hard wearing and hard working materials for a knife handle. It won't lessen in quality just improve and become more tactile with use. There is a steel lined lanyard hole to tie on a lanyard of your choice and the knife is supplied with a black leather pouch for storage.

    Nice knife, big fault.

Posted by Mark on 11th Apr 2020

The Livri, mine was the green micarta. Looks great and very sharp out of the box, very impressed with the m390 sheep's foot shape and the micarta look and feel. Slightly smaller than I imagined but still big enough to feel good in the hand, the addition of a thumb stud could turn it into a one hand open if you wanted as the half stop was not to stiff. The major issue I had which resulted in its return is the lanyard hole, it seems to have been added as an after thought as the blade sits on it, so as the knife snaps shut it dented the blade not a big dent but enough for me, this has also been mentioned in another review, maybe this was just a flaw but I have since gone for something else. However if you close the blade and dont like to snap it shut this could be an excellent knife for you. Quick delivery from HH and easy return.

    OK but could be better

Size is spot on, blade is spot on, looks good until you get close. The micarta handle scales are shaped very thin and not even. The edge of the micarta that is exposed is fluffy and will draw water into your handle scales. Buy the wooden scaled version if you want this knife as it does come with liners.

Great inoffensive EDC knife with a little flaw

Posted by Larsito on 13th Jan 2020

This is a super classy knife, which does not raise any eyebrows, if used in public. Great steel and great handle material for a excellent price. However, one should be aware that the lanyard hole is causing a dent in the blade, if the knife is closed like a modern folding knife. So, do not snap it close but do it carefully and gently.

    Good knife for UK carry

Posted by Andrew on 17th Dec 2019

Knife just arrived looks good and sharp out the box. My first Fox knife and happy with it. Should be ok for UK legal carry(stupid law) great service as always.
Just remember this is a small pen knife not made for hard work I'll need to buy a bigger lock knife if that's what I need. But as a knife to be legal carry in the UK spot on

    Good but not perfect.

Posted by Charlie on 24th Oct 2019

Nice fit and finish, sharp as razor and just a really nice edc. Bad bits are there is no stop pin, so there is dent in the blade from the lanyard tube. Either from closing and over traveling or from being compressed in the pocket.

    Fantastic U.K. legal folder.

From the moment I opened my HH package I was impressed. Uber practical M390 blade with a fantastically inoffensive look. Extremely light weight due to the lack of liners, and comfortably within U.K. legal limits. The rough micarta scales are absolutely gorgeous. It's also really, really good value. My only criticism is it's pinned so it's not going to be opened up for maintenance and there's no pocket clip.

This is the knife I now carry in my trouser pocket daily as I'm comfortable with it even in inner city areas. Unlike many U.K. legal knives this doesn't push the boundaries of U.K. law whilst being a serious cutting tool. It really is the perfect size for U.K. EDC IMHO.

    Perfectly sized penknife

Posted by Jonesy on 18th Sep 2019

I had been eyeballing the Benchmade Proper for a U.K. friendly Gentleman's EDC, but didn't want to drop £130. When I saw this: canvas micarta and M390 steel I pulled the trigger immediately! I did consider the Libar, but thought the Bowie-style clip point blade could be frowned upon by Mr Plod in today's knife-phobic society.
On first impressions the Livri looks small with a bulbous people friendly blade, but has enough of a point to still do some work when needed. Shaving sharp out of the box with gimping in exactly the right spot. Nice and slicey, but not quite at Manly Wasp levels.
The slip joint mechanism is strong enough for me not to worry for anything but heavy tasks, which of course the Livri isn't designed for. The construction is fully pinned with zero blade play on the knife I received. It's worth noting this is a light weight knife... there are no liners under the micarta which does flex, but no more then Spyderco FRN handles. The balance is just behind the pivot, and I'm just able to get a 4 finger grip with medium sized paws.
I make the blade length to be 2.75 with a cutting edge of 2.5; so safely under that 3 U.K. limit. Keeping up comparisons with the Wasp, side by side there is little difference in usable blade length, although the Livri visually looks much smaller and significantly less intimidating to non knife peeps. All in all the Livri is exactly what I was looking for: a quality non work pocketknife that oozes class and raises no eyebrows.
24hr delivery again from Heinnie... when is it never?!!
