This is a the Fox Dragotac Slim Friction Folder. It is a collaboration between knife designer and maker Bastinelli and Italian manufacturers Fox. With such a pedigree the knife was always going to be a success. It's cousin with the Santos wood handle is a superb knife and the FRN handle version is bound to be just as popular.

The N690 stainless steel, flat ground blade leaves the factory extremely sharp. It is held in place during use with the pressure from ones thumb on the extended tang and is thus classed as a non-locking knife. It is supplied with a leather sheath.

    Superb.

First off. The usual first class service from Hienne.Ordered on friday and the knife arrived the next day. The fit and finish on this knife belies the low price. The grind on the knife is flawless .The attention to detail is superb. It has very graceful lines and feels great in the hand. The only two issues are it's not legal for EDC. And it's really too nice to use. I like it so much I intend to buy another and modify it for everyday carry. At this price you really can't go wrong.

for the price: 5*s, but when compared to its brother...

For starters, BAD HH! The measurements in the specifications are a complete fallacy. The blade is identical to the one in the ZIRICOTE handled version measured with a micrometer. and vernier gauges. Even the Fox Website states they are identical! Sorry HH, this is all on you! This does mean that it is not a legal knife in the UK. This is a more abusable version of a fantastic & elegant knife, lighter in the hand and the pocket, I will not be afraid to use and abuse it. (The problem with the ZIRICOTE handled one is that it is just too beautiful to abuse). The blade is just superb! The FRN handle is slimmer in width than the ZIRICOTE, as it doesnt have the stainless spacers but still provides a good grip. It could possibly do with a bit more texture, but that can be added later. This is where the 30g weight saving is made. Unfortunately the sheath is a bit of a let down. The Ziricote version comes with a frankly superb sheath, whilst the FRN's sheath is of much lower quality and frankly feels cheap. For the £, this is a very good knife which is why I still gave it 5 stars, but I would of paid more for the same knife with the stainless spacers and a higher quality sheath.
