This complete system includes a Hammock, Mosquito Net and Basha (tarp). The net is a rugged, insecticide impregnated, close weave polyester mosquito net. It is clipped to fabric loops underneath the basha and via elasticated hooks underneath the hammock. This shapes the net, pulling the mesh walls away from the body and prevents the net from sagging and insect access.

I have been using this product for a number of years and it has been with me in Papua New Guinea, Borneo, and the South Pacific Cook Islands during filming of Man, Woman, Wild with Myke and Ruth Hawke and is still going strong. I have use it in the UK when teaching survival courses and I have also used it as a nursing station for sick patients while on overseas expeditions. It is still going strong. After a few years of service the tarp is starting to show some signs of aging and some of the seams are starting to peel, but this should be a simple repair job using an appropriate adhesive so I am not too worried. I would advise that when using the mosquito net that it is pre-dipped in Peripel which should give a few months of additional protection. I did once sleep with my knees against the net and in the morning my knees were covered in bites. I was lucky, my buddy did the same and he contracted falciparum malaria! Other than that this product is still going strong.
