The Parang is actually a household knife with South-East Asian origins, and also has a permanent spot in Fox's product range as a fixed blade knife. The folding version is based on the same solid grip design as the Meskwaki Tracker and the Aruru, including the dually secured backlock, is an excellent choice as outdoor folder, skinner, or day-to-day companion for friends of full-sized folders. The grip scales on the white model are made from laminated HPL composites, with the other colours from G10. The blade is formed from N690CO stainless steel.

Heavy work knife that will take the hammering

HH again delivered my package within a day, this is better than most courier services, full marks guys. The Aruru is not for everybody, but no bother its a workhorse that will take all you give it and more. The heavy blade opens and closes smooth as butter, the lock and safety lock work perfect. Nice carry pocket for it to strap onto you belt. N69CO is hard and tough enough for the heavy work i put it to without loosing edge. Strop this blade and you will cut paper like anything. I give it 5 stars but will add the prize is on the high side.

Very good folding Parang

So I was a big fan of Fox's Bushcraft Parang when it first came out and I still am so when I heard that they were releasing a folding version I couldn't wait for Heinnie to get them in! Well its a fab folding knife, sharp out of the box....ok its a little smaller than the bushcraft parang but for a folding version its a great size that still gives you chopping ability. The handle is solid and is very fitting to the hand shape. pouch is pretty cool too.... Liking this blade alot but have to give it 4 out of 5 stars due to the front tip needing to be a little bit more pointed in shape (in my opinion). Good quality lock up with the extra lock feature!!! One for the backpack this one!!! Always a pleasure with HH service!!!
