    Works well but has flaws

Posted by Paul on 18th Oct 2014

This is a nicely constructed knife with an extremely sharp, flexible blade. It is great for filleting fish, slicing meat and other kitchen tasks. With the reindeer sheath you can take it out with you on fishing trips, camping weekends etc.

However, the sheath is a bit of a problem. It is metal lined about a third of the way in, presumably to keep the blade from slicing the leather to shreds. Every time I try to sheath the knife, it catches in the lining. I have to wiggle it around for several seconds before I can get the blade to slide home. Perhaps it's just me?

The handle feels nice, but it tapers towards the blade. If you aren't careful, your hand can slide right off the handle on to the blade. Not a good idea. Grip hard and pay attention when using this knife.

However, overall, good value and it perfroms as you would expect a Finnish outdoor knife to peform - i.e. extremely well.
