    Expensive

It’s really hard to believe that a knife in this price range would have a glued on shield but it has therefore I only give it 3 stars

    TK3

I'm not a knife connoisseur who buys a beautiful knife to have on display and scared to get it scratched.
I decided to buy an attractive good quality folding lock knife which was easier to carry and less 'offensive' than one of my fixed blades when out hiking etc. and lastly it would hopefully last for years and could even be handed down to my son for example.
I live in Norway where knifes are an outdoors tool rather than seen as a weapon by many in the UK I bought this knife now 3.5 years ago and its still perfect. It doesn't get used on a daily or even weakly basis but if were out and the plan is to cook sausages over a fire then its common here to sharpen a stick to skewer your sausage onto, so to be honest it gets used mostly for this stripping and whittling down sticks.
The blade holds its edge well and I have never actually sharpened it in this time, although I did buy the Fallkniven diamond stone at the same time.
Out of the box it will shave hairs off your arm.
It does its job well for a small folding knife, but if there was a comparison to be made it does not strip down a piece of wood as well as the scandi grind on my Norwegian Helle fixed blade. The bevel on this is a far steeper angle so has a very different cutting style. I'm sure this can be re-ground if you could be bothered but I can't and its plenty good enough as is.
I'm not a collector who can compare this to other expensive folding knives but I am very impressed with the construction quality and the near invisible construction lines on the back of the knife, its seamless and solid.

    Perfect for me

I've carried this knife with me to work (five days a week) for several years. It's a very handsome knife and holds a razors edge. Perfect for and function, an excellent gentleman's (and lady's) knife.

    Fallkniven T(re) K(ronar) 3 Jigged Bone

Awesome looking folder from the Swedes! As far as aesthetics go, the JB I second to none.

This knife comes with a flat grind, w(this is first hand e-mail info from Peter Hjortberger himself), however, from what I have heard, it should be fairly easy to convex the edge.

The hard 3G steel is hard / takes time to sharpen.

The length of the handle is the reason this knife only gets four stars. It's a wee bit too short for my (big) hands. 2 cm. more would have been nice.
