A good sharpener is a must for any knife owner and these by DMT (Diamond Machining Technology) offer a quality diamond sharpening tool at a reasonable price. As they are made from diamond, the toughest material around, these sharpening stones are guaranteed to last.

They will hone the hardest material with less time and effort than conventional stones. Interrupted pattern increases cutting action while clearing material from the diamond surface. It reqiures only water as a lubricant and is virtually indestructible.

    not impressed

    Posted by Silent1 on 29th Sep 2012

It's easy to work with and light weight if you want to carry it on a trip - 138g without the base, if I remember rightly... But in my experience the honing ability wears down. I have used it a lot for 3-4 months. My blades are now being scrathed more than they are honed. It still works but for the money I would rather buy cheap/junk alu-oxid stones or moderately cheap Japanese stones.

Joiner by trade, bought an angle sharpener from axminster, this stone is awsome i used to send my chisels and planer blade to be ground to get the right angle,no need with the DMT it cuts through the steel with no bother, and heinnie are the cheapest.
