Both Triumph N.E.C.K. models are based on the same beefy 0.14” thick blade used on the Triumph Folder. In this case it is a full-tang skeletonized design, with recurved dual-grind Tanto to aid cutting and a false top edge grind for penetrating power.
The basic system includes the Triumph N.E.C.K. knife in a satin finish plus a custom Kydex® sheath with a patented quick-release belt-mounting system. The basic sheath has detents which grip the knife securely for inverted carry. The belt clip can be attached with the Chicago screws provided for vertical or horizontal carry. Simply press in the injection-molded nylon retaining clip for instant attachment or release.

The Triumph N.E.C.K.™ Cord Wrapped version is the deluxe system which includes the knife with a non-reflective black EDP coating, cord-wrapped handle, the custom Kydex sheath and belt clip described above. The olive drab nylon paracord wrap gives excellent feel and grip, and terminates in a fob.

Both combinations are exceptional values. You decide whether you need the minimal and very flat satin model 2030, or the grip and comfort of the cord-wrapped 2030CW.

    A late review.....

Posted by Jack on 28th Sep 2017

if you need a discreet combat style knife for */disposing of ninja packaging or slicing up the evil cardboard regime then it's an option worth looking at. The penetration geometry on this blade is beautifully effective especially with the re-curve on the primary cutting edge. Although this makes sharpening a little more tricky. It's a softer steel so not too practical as a general outdoor knife. A nice collector/statement piece. Mines locked away ready for the * outbreak....

    Tactical tanto

Posted by Cultcollector on 3rd Jan 2013

Brought this as a collection piece the paracord wrap is a nice touch.
The steel is 8crmov but not a patch on Spyderco.
The sheath is good for retention and has the belt clip.
I'd say overall Crkt products in this price range are ok.
A good entry point but as your expectations increase.
Other brands offer better value for money .
As usual heinnie.com hits the mark brilliant service.
This is a late review product purchased in 2011.

    Little cracker

    Handy. Sturdy. Cool.
Nice sharp blade, easy to control. Tanto shape is a bit on the funky side for survival/outdoor purposes, but it does work. Sheath is great - both belt clip and attach points for the paracord harness are easily utilised.

Took this knife while travelling through several not to be named african countries. Good for street wear in one of the worlds most dangerous cities and handy in the bush for meat cutting. Admiring looks from locals as I pull my little sweetie.

    great value for money knife

Posted by chad on 11th Dec 2010

This knife feels great in the hand. As the satin version is not wrapped I followed a tutorial on youtube and wrapped it myself with paracord. Now feels even better, amazing paper slicing edge. Overall, looks and feels 'just right'.

CHECK UP FROM THE N.E.C.K UP

Posted by SAGE on 31st Oct 2010

    HOW DO CRKT DO IT?
THAT IS, "SUCH GOOD QUALITY V SUCH LOW PRICE!"
THIS PUPPY IS ONE TOP DOG KNIFE, THE TANTO BLADE IS TYPICAL CRKT QUALITY, THE TIGHT CORD-WRAPPED HANDLE IS AN ART FORM IN ITS SELF, THE KYDEX SHEATH HAS A FIT AND FINISH SECOND TO NONE AND TO TOP IT ALL OFF THEY THROW IN THE VERY CLEVER MERCHARNESS.
CRKT ARE DEFINITELY NOT A PAIN IN THE N.E.C.K
