A good quality kit which laced up really easily. I didn't use the tan yarn supplied but used nano paracord for no other reason than personal preference. Completed in just over an hour (teabreak included) I smothered it in tan polish, which soaked in quickly, then ran some oxblood around the edges which buffed up to an awesome antique effect finish. Fits my Opinel no.9 perfectly and will definitely last for many, many years.
I use mine to carry a brass tinder box and it works perfectly. The pouch is narrow enough to ensure that the pouch stays closed without ranger bands .
Good points - Good quality heavy leather with press stud already installed. A very complete kit, needle and tan coloured twine included. Complete easy to follow instructions. Even a complete fumble fingered fool like me had no difficulty in finishing this kit in about 1.5 hours. All the pre-made holes line up nicely. Bad points - Could do with a thicker spacer, the finished pouch only has about 6mm deep space so a thin knife only. I did manage to get a 20mm thick Hammond Cruiser in it but the press stud didn't close over it's 5.5" length (but it did say 5" pouch). Skinny knives like the Kershaw Chill you'd get 2 in there side by side. So in all I can't really fault it, it did all it was supposed to do at a very reasonable price.
