The straight-lined Boker Plus Ylvi is a practical knife and neck knife for all everyday cutting tasks. It was created in collaboration with Dirk Hofmeister.

The exceedingly sturdy full tang construction made of D2 is finished with a stonewash surface and always lies securely in the hand thanks to numerous jimpings. Weight-reducing notches, a decorative hollow groove and a generous lanyard hole round out the features of the Ylvi. Thanks to the practical stonewash clip, the knife can also be easily attached to the hem of a pocket. With ball chain and custom-fit Kydex sheath.

Great knife - poor sheath

This is a great little knife. What I like most is it’s a small blade and most small blades come with small handles. The Ylvi has a longer handle which means better grip for this stout little blade. The sheath lets it down. I find it really difficult to get the knife out of the sheath. I am no weakling but this thing is just ridiculous. I will look at sourcing another sheath for it.

Well thought out tool!

Full length tang with a small but highly useable blade. This is a really well thought out tool, perfect for small game - bird & fish. Nice to handle, it does not really any hotspots in my hand and the jimping provides a pretty impressive grip. Being a smaller blade, it’ll give confidence. Being D2 it’ll most likely take some abuse given its hefty construction and profile, you will also need to look after the steel; clean, oil & dry after use. As long as you remember what it is, this is a little hidden gem from Boker Plus. Thanks to Heinnie for the usual A1 service.

This i a very nicely made piece even though simple it is excellent for your daily needs or for like myself slicing my leather work down to size. It is a very robust piece which I have no doubt could easily take a good hammering ( if you’re such a maniac) or perhaps a decent mallet for the more normal of us out there lol. Honestly though this is a very solid piece of work that is very well made and the grind of the blade is great as well as the finishing of the metal work itself. Not a massive blade but you should already be aware of this after reading the specs. Have a beautiful day one and all .

Sumptuous slicer

What a bargain for the price point !!!! This thing feels so solid in the hand mega comfy to hold even with the pocket clip!! Great gimping Razor sharp out the box!! Plunge line perfect! Excellent kydex sheath rock solid fit with a great thumb push off!! No rattle! Well worth the money!
