The unusual design of the Rocket Pen comes from the custom knife maker Darriel Caston.

The cross section of the pens body is oval and feels very goodin the hand. Made from black anodised aluminium, the Rocket Pen is not just a capable tactical pen, but also an elegant writing tool.

The bayonet mechanism with lateral slider is skillfully integrated into the profile. It is compatible with the Fisher Space Pen refill (#PR4) and Parker-style refills. To change the refill, loosen the T8 Torx screw at the end of the handle.

    I really love the quality of the Boker plus rocket pen, it’s a bit pricey to spend on a pen, but once you get it in your hands, you’ll love it and forget what you paid for it! Also, it comes standard with a pretty good blank ink cartridge inside! Excellent quality pen to write with! I highly recommend buying this pen for someone special in your life, or just a nice treat for your self!

    Sleek looking and surprisingly comfortable with the oval profile of the barrel. There is just enough texture to provide a bit of grip. The bolt action is flush with the body, so no big bits sticking out to catch on your pocket or anything else. The jimping is perhaps a little sharp initially, but I found it seemed to smooth out a little after some use. Really nice, low carrying pocket clip that keeps the pen well secure in a jeans pocket (it may need a little bend to grip better in a thin shirt pocket or office trousers). I'd recommend getting a better ink cartridge. The supplied one isn't bad by any means, but I first used a Parker cartridge that I had spare and then a Fisher Space Pen cartridge, both of which are compatible and superior to the supplied one. Working in a warehouse, I seem to go through breaking pens on a weekly basis so decided to buy this one. It feels tough, despite it's relatively slim and sleek build and has a reassuring weight to it (that isn't overbearing). All in all, an excellent pen.

    Incredibly tactile; both the feel of the barrel and the mechanism. I usually work with zebra pallpoints: this is significantly heavier. I considered the brass version... based on the weight of this, the brass would be a show pen only. Very well made, a point off for the basic refill supplied

    Bought this direct from Boker in Germany before Hennie stocked it. It is oval shaped and the slider is quite flush with the body. You need a TX driver to open in and replace the refill. I decided to bend the clip a bit to make it a bit stronger as the pen body is smooth and can slide out of a pocket when in awkward positions or front pocket sitting. Nice small pen for small hands. The brass version (also have) is significantly heavier than the aluminium and it is not raw brass. The weight seems at odds with the size but they are both nice. I just prefer this one. Worth the reasonable price tag.
