The Boker Plus Rocket has been a firm favourite of knife fans for a while now and with good reason. It is a handsome little knife with a great deal of character and even more usability.

This brand new version has had the Heinnie Haynes® treatment, which means it has the famous red handle, is non-locking so UK legal carry, is numbered on the back spine and has the Heinnie® 'H' on the back of the handle. Everything else is the same, compact, "unputdownable" design and a gap for a neck chain or lanyard.

The knives are individually numbered, but we're not able to pick out a particular number for you, sorry.

    Don't like the handle

Posted by Sam on 1st Aug 2020

The blade is well made, strong and very practical, but with the handle, it just feels unsafe in my hands, especially when closing it and I feel if the handle was longer, it could be a lot better. For someone with small hands, this could be brilliant, but I wouldn't want a child to learn with it. For me personallly, this is a 2 star knife, but I've given it 3 because for the right person, it could be wonderful

Useful little fidget and a great price

Posted by Jonathan on 18th Jul 2020

For those little everyday tasks this hits the spot and is great for the money. Fits well out the way in a coin pocket or on a keychain. Unusual design and difficult to put down as the action is a bit addictive! Steel is just fine for what you'll do with it and it's very sharp from the box. Fit and finish is great as per all my other Bökers.

    Perfectly non-scary!

Posted by MarkCX on 15th Jul 2020

I loved this little blade. I say loved because my teenage daughter has stolen it. She always disliked the my First Victorinox I gave her, only because of the sprung closure of the blade - otherwise it’s excellent. But she loves this little knife. At a glance it just looks like a USB stick and is non-scary in every way, with a decent blade.

    Quality on a small scale

Posted by ACRT on 3rd Jul 2020

Fabulous little knife - extremely tactile, the scale is lovely and the motion of the blade is oily smooth and addictive, like a slick gear change - I can't stop fiddling with it! A perfect size for the coin pocket in your jeans - my new go-to edc knife (well, on rotation with my Spyderco). Highly recommended!

Thumb drive sized non locking folder

Posted by vice on 3rd Jun 2020

Superb little EDC folder, inoffensive and perfect for public/office use. Looked at the Rocket in the past but always seemed a bit pricey and it's locking. When I saw this Heinnie edition pop up in the new items section it immediately grabbed my attention. After seeing the price it went straight into the basket. It's not going to handle any heavy duty tasks, but it's perfectly adequate for opening letters, parcels and packages and has smooth one handed opening thanks to 2 phosphor bronze washers. Arrived in the usual quality B¶ker Plus presentation box with magnetic lid as well as a disassembly tool. The red G10 scale is visually appealing against the satin finish and fits easily in watch/coin pocket. Factory sharp, but found a small issue with the grind towards the tip but nothing that can't be sorted. Overall very happy with this product, great value for money and would recommend. Heinnie service perfect as usual.

I’ve already reviewed and love this little beauty. Can’t criticise it. Both my sons and my brother love theirs also. A Best Buy.

    Very nice

Posted by Sharp Terry on 3rd May 2020

Firstly many thanks to Heinnie for yet again arranging for us to be able to buy a UK Friendly non locking version of a popular lock knife design. This knife is quite small at approx 6cm long and 1.9cm wide. It looks very non threatening, almost like a small USB stick. Even when open the straight edged blade with the rounded tip almost doesn't look like a blade. I like the red scale, it looked a little dirty at first but wiped up nice and clean and is useful for finding something so small. The fit and finish is excellent and the blade has nice even grinds. You can index it in your pocket by finding the domed pivot with your thumb, this puts you in a nice position to open it one handed with the opening groove. There is a ball detent which also engages at the half stop position. The blade came very sharp. It has some nice markings, a serial number, the Heinnie H, 440c and a small picture of a rocket. These look laser etched though I couldn't swear on it. It also has a hole for attaching a lanyard or chain. Are there any negatives? The heel of the blade is designed to contact the metal strip which faces the blade when it is closed. This should in theory stop the edge of the blade contacting the metal strip. In practice though, fairly light pressure on the back of the blade when it is closed pushes the front portion of the cutting edge in to the metal strip and puts a small but noticeable flat spot on the cutting edge. You also need to be very careful closing the knife one handed. Because it is so small and thin, I found that as I used my thumb to close the blade, the fleshy part of my palm was drawn in to the path of the blade and got caught between the metal strip and the cutting edge much like a cigar cutter! Luckily I caught it just as it started to bite! I would suggest carefully closing it two handed to be on the safe side! Overall I really like it, I think this could be worn nicely as a dog tag type knife because it is so small and light. It makes for a very nice non threatening EDC.
