Designed by Franck Souville, the Boker Plus Guy is a massive slipjoint pocket knife with an impressive appearance. The French knifemaker from picturesque Montgesoye is known far beyond the country's borders for his reliable, extremely sturdy knives and combines classic designs with innovative manufacturing techniques and state-of-the-art materials. In doing so, the gifted blacksmith lacks neither imagination nor originality.

The wide clippoint blade is made of D2 and is provided with an impressive hairline finish and a distinctive ricasso. The knife is opened by nail nick and does not lock. The exceptional G10 handle scales have a coarse texturing reminiscent of a rustic forged skin. Indicated bolsters, red fibre layers of G10 and a stylised skull emblem on the front underline the provocative character of the knife. Supplied with lanyard hole and high-quality nylon sheath for storage.

Big folder , sharp out of the box . Reassuring click when deploying the blade and a solid "lock out" for a slip joint . Blade just under 4 mm flat grind really good slicing knife despite the thickness.

Modern Elephant's Toenail

Haha! This thing is ridiculous! It really is the modern equivalent to the Elephant's Toenail pocket knives of the victorian era... There's no practical reason for such a large, chunky slip joint pocket knife, but I'm really glad to own it! Materials are all nice, and the build quality is lovely. I particularly like the handle scales, and the machined 'crater' finish to the handle section, and the smooth finish to the 'bolster' section. On the custom version, the machining is more like jigged bone, but I guess the cratered version is easier to do on a CNC...Nice little skull logo as well, and the Red G10 liners give it a good contrasting feature. The full flat grind would make it an awesome slicer, despite the 4mm blade stock, but they've manage to make a clip point knife that has practically no point at all...! It's a nice addition to my collection, but I doubt it will see much use...!
