This is a custom right-handed ‘friction-fitter’. Dyed with a mix of light brown & mahogany, polished with brown ‘finish’ and its edges are hand-painted with black edge-kote. It’s made from 3.5-4mm shoulder leather and has a detachable dangler and a belt loop on the back both of which accomodate up to a 2-inch belt and are joined with a brass rectangle loop. Hand-stitched with black artificial sinew and inside the sheath there’s a nice thick welt to protect the stitching and it’s embossed with my makers mark on the back. It has two black eyelets running through it and is supplied with a length of black paracord. The pouch on the front accomodates a Fallkniven DC3 whetstone and is very securely attached and is made of 2.5mm columbo side which gives a nice bit of contrast to the main sheath.

Suitable for knives similar in size to the Ray Mears Woodlore and Bushcraft knives… 21.5cm long total…blade length 10.5cm…2.5cm wide…handle circumference 9cm. The sheath will take anything similar in size as it has been specifically designed to cater for any ‘classic sized’ bushcraft knife.

    Not worth the money

Posted by Baker on 4th Mar 2016

Bought one of these about 7 months ago. When I unpackaged it the feel of the leather was Ok but the stitching finish could be better attended to. I bought this sheath for my wright bushcraft knife, it felt a little loose when inserted which over time became more so. 7 months later and the stitching finish has come undone (Needing a drop of superglue to stop any further unravelling) one of the cord eyelet's has popped out, the female part of the press stud to the front pouch has come away and the upper portion of the leather dangler has cracks in it. I in no way abuse or misuse my bushcraft gear so fail to see why these issues would happen other than shoddy workmanship. This sheath is never worth the extra money when you can pick one up for half the price! I was really annoyed to think that I paid all that money for what was supposed to be a top notch sheath when 7 months later I would be binning it for a replacement! Total waste of money in my opinion! Guess I will try obtaining something of quality from FB!
