    I love this knife!

Look, ergo, materials and execution - this knife is a gem!!! I watched some reviews before buying it - some people weren't happy with the handle pattern as it was too much and was taking away the wooden feel they said. To be honest the pattern on my one is barely visible, barely... I had to pull up a lens in order to see it. So the wooden feel and look 100% there. I love the knife! As usual stellar service from Hennie Haynes! Thank you!

    Benchmade north fork hunter

What a great little knife. Everything on point. Good grind, perfect centering, finishing very nice. Also, contrary to opinion, relatively easy to sharpen with a sharpmaker using the corners, and then strop on a leather strop (not the glued to a piece of wood kind ). Got a good result that way. Not that it really needed it, but, you know, can't resist fiddling with knives and all that. All in all ,very pleased. HH excellent again as usual.

    Not impressed

The Axis lock failed before I ever got to use this knife for it's intended purpose. I have been a Benchmade fan for many years and own several all of which have given great service. This one not so much. The lock failure is dangerous and certainly was not expected in a product at this price point.

    North Fork Hunter

A beautiful little folder from Benchmade. Part of their Hunt series. I shall not be skinning deer with it, but maybe rabbits and such and it is just perfect for the job. The steel is CPM-S30V, which keeps its edge well and doesn't rust to easily. It was quite sharp straight from the box, the blade was perfectly centred and had no scratches. An extremely well-made knife. Some might find this knife a little uncomfortable in hand compared to say a Mini Griptilian (which is about the same size). Personally I think it is just fine, particularly when you keep in mind that it needs to be firm and secure in your hand, particularly in wet conditions. It is fit for purpose? Absolutely, without question. Did Heinnie Haynes do a great job? Absolutely, without question.
