    Great bit of nostalgia.

I was given a well worn Rogers branded version of this to sharpen many many moons ago, 35 years probably, and quite liked it, always had it in mind to get one and finally have done. The one I've recieved is very well put together, solid, fit and finish is very good, a nice set of rosewood scales, and it would no doubt last a lifetime given a bit of care.
It's not a chopper, it's not big or heavy enough for anything but light stuff, it'll rust if you don't take care of it, but if you like the look of it I can't see anyone being disappointed with it for a general outdoors knife.

I received the Rosewood version as a Christmas gift & am really pleased with it. It has 2 big, brass pins, 4 finger grooves & a fileworked spine & is mirror polished. How a knife like this can be made in the UK for this price is beyond me. The sheath is basic but does the job - if you buy a similar one it will set you back at least a tenner & a really nice one would cost as much as the knife. I may be a bit biased as I'm Sheffield born & bred & live only walking distance from the works but you won't get a better Uk or European knife like this for less - unless you go for the A Wright Skinner!
