Since then his enthusiasm has created Arno Bernard the knife manufacturing company which employs his four sons, becoming a leading light of knife innovation in South Africa and beyond.
South African knife manufacture demands the absolute highest degree of precision and seamless engineering. The Great White is no exception. Run your fingers over the back spine and Olive wood and there is no discernible fault line....perfection!
The blade uses Bohler N690, a high quality stainless steel which is then heat treated and tempered, which hardens the blade to a 59-60 on the Rockwell hardness scale. Using the most modern Haas CNC machines most of the excess material is removed, then each blade is hollow ground freehand and hand-polished. What you end up with is a quality, high functioning unique fixed blade knife.
It is supplied with a hand crafted leather belt sheath.
