Expensive? Seriously?

These are my go to firelighters. Particularly under dark & evil conditions. You get twelve in the pack as three packs of four. Which makes them absolutely fantastic for stashing in survival tins. They are much much more effective than the ball of cotton wool most kit's fob you off with. At under a fiver they are probably one of the most economically priced prepared tinder's on the market today. Also used by the USAF in survival kits. If that isn't a glowing recommendation, I don't know what is.

Not cheap but...

...as the writing on the packet says, they'll light up first strike every time, wet or windy; and lets face it, what price a nice crackling fire when you need one? Oh, and you won't need to explain away the pocket full of tampons ever again.
