The 65th Quarterly Limited Edition for Winter 24/25 is the Field Notes “Vintage” Edition. Field Notes have revisited some of their favorite materials, details, and production processes to create a brand-new and old-fashioned 3-Pack on dot ruled paper.
For the covers, they have chosen a 100# “Royaltone” stock from the French Paper Company. It is named “Monarch Red,” but leans more towards the color of fine wine. Perhaps a 2012 Willamette Pinot Noir? The stock features a lovely linen texture that plays well with the embossed “Metallic Antique” gold ink. The inside covers are printed with a geometric pattern that suggests the end-papers of a classic hardcover book.
Interior pages are “dot-ruled” using “Faded Antique Gold” ink on an off-white stock from Domtar. They’re also perforated for easy removal. The staples are also gold, naturally.
